Gates of the City

About Us

History

For years, the ministry of March for Jesus propelled us beyond church walls into communities and cities.  The outcome of our activities was multi-faceted.  It began with simple prayerwalks in neighborhoods as part of the preparation for organizing marches.  By uniting our hearts in prayer with others from many different churches we encountered the blessings of God.  It also stirred in our hearts a new compassion for the people of the city as we discovered the spiritual dynamics and connections between the supernatural and the natural..

Over the years we have facilitated prayer journeys, gate tours, prayer tent ministry, and much more.  These activities have revealed insights about cities we now call "Gates of the City".  Since Harrisburg, the capitol city of Pennsylvania, has been our main focus, most of our revelation pertains to it, however our perspectives are widening and we are excited to find similarities in other cities and regions.

Rebuild the Wall

Sensing from the Lord that it was time to"Rebuild the Wall", we launched "Gates of the City".  This process speaks to us of God's desire to dwell with us.  The bible starts with God coming to dwell with man and ends with God coming to dwell with man.  Rev. 21:3 "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them.  They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God."  The spiritual "City of Jerusalem" is a people who have the nature and glory of God. We are living stones being built up as a spiritual house for the presence of God to dwell.

There are several ways in which we are preparing to activate the "Rebuild the Wall" process. We are instituting gate teaching opportunities, planning strategic prayer events, compiling gate insights, and launching a web site that will build a network of communication.  Keep checking back with us as we plan to add teaching materials, videos, and much more to the site.
